A high-quality shockmount is worth its weight in gold. No matter what a microphone sounds like, if it isn’t adequately attenuated, handling noise and low-frequency vibrations will mar your recordings. Rode’s SMR is a brilliant shockmount for large-diaphragm studio microphones that contains the patented Lyre system by Rycote. It is a two-way system with an additional interior ring for even more effective attenuation of the microphone. As a reinforced polymer is used, its durability equals military-grade materials.
Rode SMR
The clamping system of the Rode SMR uses a larger surface, so that friction and weight distribution are optimal. Even more impressively, the system is so durable that it is as good as immune to wearing. Furthermore, the SMR is fitted with a metal pop filter, which is extremely effective in the countering of plosives (popping sounds) and looks great too! You can remove the filter if the situation does not warrant its use or when it is time for a bit of cleaning! The cable guide is great for a professional setup from microphone to mixer. A nut is featured for the mounting of all compatible Rode microphones.

De maten van de popfilter bij het product plaatsen zou handig zijn ... misschien een tip?
het metalen popfilter doet prima zijn werk.
ik gebruik de NT-usb waarbij de twee bedienknoppen weliswaar niet (of lastig) te verstellen zijn nadat hij in de shockmount is bevestigd maar in de praktijk stel ik die eenmalig in en verder kom ik er niet meer aan.
de knoppen hebben nog enkele millimeters ruimte ten opzichte van de kunststof montage ring .
kortweg gezegd: prima aankoop ondanks de best wel forse prijs.
(kwaliteit kost geld maar niet alles wat duur is is goed).
