Veel belovende MIDI interface: DYN, USB en rtpMIDI (MIDI over netwerk). Mijn Roland Boutique SH-01A heeft last van een aard-brom als ik de USB aansluit op mijn DAW en de USB MIDI interface kan gebruiken. Het idee dat deze brom weg zou zijn als ik de mio XM alleen over netwerk zou gebruiken werkte. Echter...
De mio XM ondersteund alleen Class Compliant (zonder driver) USB MIDI devices. De Roland Boutique series zijn dat niet en hebben drivers nodig. Zelfde geldt voor mijn SE-02.
Mijn Behringer ARP2600 zou wel Class Compliant moeten zijn, maar wat ik ook probeer, deze krijg ik niet werkend> Het lijkt er ook op dat de mio XM geen data ontvangt vanaf de DAW. Ook die heeft last van een USB aard lus brom, maar werkt dus niet.
De enige synth die dan nog heb is een (oude) DSI Mopho. Deze werkt als een zonnetje!
De handleiding is erg beroerd. Het heeft me veels te veel tijd gekost om het rtpMIDI (Windows 10) gedeelte van de oplossing onder de knie te krijgen. Nu de software draait crashed het al mijn andere USB MIDI interfaces (keyboard en controller) bij het opstarten van Bitwig. StudioOne lijkt er geen last van te hebben.
Ik weet nog niet of ik de interface terug stuur. Het USB host gedeelte lijkt te beperkt. De genoemde problemen zullen er ook zijn als je de interface niet over netwerk, maar standaard USB aansluit. Ik heb nog geen tijd gehad om te ervaren of de interface voor de standaard DYN poorten over rtpMIDI od USB wel stabiel is.
Doe er je voordeel mee. Voor mij lijkt de interface (nog) niet geschikt.
