The Arturia MiniLab is a compact USB keyboard controller that offers maximum control over your software. Its compact size means it doesn't take up much room on your desk, and makes it eminently suitable for mobile use. The MiniLab has a great finish, offers a lot of control and comes with a great software bundle with analogue synth sounds.
MiniLab: for control freaks
The MiniLab gives you more options for control than any other controller of its size. It has 25 velocity-sensitive keys, pitch and modulation touch strips, 8 pads and 16 encoders. Your DAW and plugins can be controller entirely through these pads and encoders, and you can easily adjust which parameters they control using the included MIDI Control Center software.
Analog laboratory 2
The MiniLab wordt comes with an elaborate software instrument: the Analog Laboratory 2. This has over 5000 presets with the best classic synth and keyboards sounds available. The graphical interface responds to your MiniLab, so you can control the entire plugin without having to use a mouse. To sum up, this is a small controller with great possibilities.

Wat wil je nog meer? Wel, dat het allemaal fatsoenlijk werkt.
De software is nogal buggy, de encoders werken niet altijd even vloeiend en de default instellingen zijn maar gek.
Ik zou het product graag 3,5 sterren geven, maar omdat er na enige inspanning wel mee te werken valt, zal ik maar afronden naar boven.

De encoders werken ook in andere programma's, even shift en pad2 tegelijk drukken, dan staan de encoders in de absolute modus.
Verder heel veel lof over de Minilab.

Het grootste pluspunt is de software die je erbij krijgt. Een massieve bibliotheek aan synths die je zelfstandig kan gebruiken of als VST plugin in uw DAW.

Werkt heel intuitief en snel. Software crashed wel af en toe.
Het toetsenbord speelt verbazend goed, maar is natuurlijk niet te vergelijken met een full size midi keyboard. Om even snel een ideetje in te spelen is het echter prima. Past op je buro naast je toetsenbord en muis.
Grootste plus is de software met het enorme aantal geluiden.
Kortom, voor dit geld kun je je geen buil vallen. Doen!
