Xkey technology
The Xkey features 37 standard-size velocity-sensitive keys, mounted on a low-profile chassis, so your computer keyboard is still easily accessible. The MIDI keyboard offers a number of interesting features, including pressure-sensitive pitch bend and modulation controls, polyphonic aftertouch and a practical sustain control. You can connect the exceptionally flat (16 mm) CME Xkey to your tablet, laptop or desktop computer by means of an included USB cable.

+ De grote toetsen voelen fijn aan, ondanks dat de travel relatief heel laag is.
+ Pitch bend en modulator knopjes zijn plat maar toch drukgevoelig, zeer slimme oplossing.
+ Poly aftertouch (ondanks dat het niet vaak ondersteund wordt, helaas)
+ Bouwkwaliteit is echt top! Licht aluminium en zeer stevig.
- Als je ruimte hebt voor een keyboard met dikke keys zou ik toch daar voor gaan, voelt toch iets fijner.
- Keys zijn relatief luid omdat het eigenlijk gewoon een groot laptop toetsenbord is (butterfly switches?)
Al met al een zeer fijn toetsenbord. Het is behoorlijk aan de prijs maar het biedt de perfecte oplossing voor ruimte problemen zonder in te leveren op grootte van de keys.

De 25 heeft geen Xcable voor klassieke MIDI-out, sustain en expressie, de 37 wel

Le toucher est un peu déconcertant au premier abord, c'est vraiment original d'avoir espacé les touches et de les avoir toutes à plat.
Mas on s'y fait très vite.
J'aime énormément les boutons de pitch qui permettent une expressivité très intéressante.
Et la vélocité est très bien rendue (et adaptable).

Gewoon het dubbele voor een paar toetsen extra, geen extra software of functies.
Mooi en nog steeds even plat als zijn (bijna net zo grote) broertje... alleen dus veel duurder. En ik vond eerlijk gezegd de 25 key niet goedkoop...
