General

With the Allen & Heath GPIO interface, you get 8 opto-isolated inputs and 8 Normally Open (N/O) outputs on Phoenix connectors and two 10V DC outputs. This unit can be stand-alone, or installed in a 19-inch rack. Up to eight GPIOs can be added to a dLive system, either directly or with a Cat5 cable via a 100Mb/s network switch. You programme GPIO functions with the AHM Sytem Manager, dLIve Director software, or with Avantis and dLive mixing consoles. Among other things, it can be used for EVAC (alarm/mute), broadcasting ('on air' light, fader start) and automation in theatre (cloths, light).
