General
The BOSS Dimension C is back but this time in the form of an updated Waza Craft version. That means the DC-2W adds sounds from the SDD-320 Dimension D studio rack to the original chorus effects, all in a teensy little stompbox! Simply slide the switch along to the left for effetcs from the original, vintage pedal or slide it to the right for effects straight from the legendary SDD-320. While the DC-2W has the same four mode selection buttons as the original stompbox, improved electronics means it can produce an even wider range of chorus effects. Needless to say, the bypass and buffer circuits have been updated too.
DC-2W Dimension C: dimension squared
On top of the four original chorus sounds, there are sixteen more atmospheric options at your disposal. This is craft of this stompbox since, these sounds are summoned by pressing different combinations of the four buttons. When it comes to connections, there are two inputs and two outputs giving you both mono and stereo possibilities. The DC-2W Dimension C can not only add multiple dimensions to a guitar sound but can be used keyboards and pretty much any other instruments, including vocals and making it an invaluable tool for musicians and audio engineers alike.

Une magnifique réussite. Une pédale sans prise de tête, toutes les combinaisons de presets sonnent aussi bien en son Clean que Dirty et à la fois sur scène et en studio. L’effet Chorus en général n’est pas évident à placer musicalement car il devient vite envahissant et redondant mais là c’est un autre univers ! Le seul bémol sur scène serait le fait d’être obligé de se baisser vers son pédalboard pour activer les 4 Switches mais cela reste anecdotique et on ne peut pas tout avoir. Le prix n’est pas non plus anodin mais au vu de l’utilisation et des résultats obtenus le jeu en vaut largement la chandelle. De plus, la pédale est belle dans sa robe mauve. Elle ne passe pas inaperçue mais elle le vaut bien… Bravo Boss, des comme cela, on en redemande.

Als je hem stereo op 2 versterkers aansluit krijg je echt een mooi kamerbreed geluid.
Ik vind met name de 1 of 2 stand in de "D" modus erg mooi, met name als je een versterker licht overstuurt (= crunchy), en de andere clean houdt. Het valt dan niet zo op maar verrijkt het geluid wel prachtig. De 1 of 2 instelling in de "C" modus zijn wat extremer. Dat geld trouwens voor alle instellingen van "C" t.o.v. "D".
Ook die geluiden zijn echter prima bruikbaar en mooi, maar ik gebruik ze wel spaarzamer.

Verwacht geen uitgebreide diepe chorus zoals Nirvana's Come as you are, maar de geluiden van Prince's Purple Rain en bv Crowded House zijn instant bereikbaar.
Het Waza gedeelte is te subtiel voor mij (je kan de vier knoppen in deze versie ook samen indrukken in allerlei combinaties met de mode switch zodat je op 20 verschillende instellingen uitkomt) en gebruik vooral de 4 basisgeluiden. Maar het originele pedaaltje is amper verkrijgbaar en dan nog tegen ridicule prijzen, dus het is toch de moeite waard

Chorus pedaal voor mensen die niet van chorus houden. Het pedaal levert een mooi vol en ruimtelijk geluid zonder dat het vals klinkt. De pre-sets geven een scala aan bruikbare klanken. Eenvoudig in gebruik. Ben er erg tevreden mee.

Superbe réédition du légendaire du DC2, inspirée elle même du rack SDD-320, au format pédale. Ces Waza Craft sont juste sublime et Boss a réussi son pari de ressortir ses premières pédales longtemps réservées au marché noir et amateurs d'effets vintage. Une signature de plus, la DC2W rappelle le son de Prince sur Purple Rain, si c'est ce que vous voulez ne cherchez pas plus longtemps.
