Tired of playing the same licks over and over? The ever-inspiring BOSS SL-2 Slicer provides a creative tool-box that will breathe a gust of fresh rhythmic energy into your music. This Boss-made stompbox chops your sound up into unique percussive patterns before processing the chunks via internal filters and effects, giving you the pick of no less than 88 patterns (eleven variations of eight types) and as many as seven stereo output modes. Needless to say, this turns the SL-2 into an incredibly potent tool for guitarists, keyboardists, DJs, beat-creators and other music-makers, especially since the TRS MIDI input can be used to sync up the Slicer with a drum computer, DAW or another MIDI clock-equipped bit of kit.

The SL-2 Slicer: Compact Yet Extensive

The Boss SL-2 has been born out of the SL-20 Slicer that was released way-back-when and sets you up with a compact, pedalboard-friendly stompbox loaded with a massive number of options. In addition to the 88 presets, you're offered hundreds of extra options via the BOSS Tone Studio app, and thanks to the intuitive controls, tap tempo and MIDI functionality, tweaking or synchronising sounds is as easy as can be. Also, for extra control over all parameters, you're free to hook up a footswitch or expression pedal (neither comes included).
