The BOSS JHS JB-2 Angry Driver is a compact overdrive pedal that's essentially a combination of BOSS' legendary BD-2 Blues Driver and JHS Pedals' popular Angry Charlie. The JB-2 is a dual-mode overdrive pedal meaning it has two different types of overdrive in one pedal. That not only gives you a massive tonal range to work with, it means you can go from a little gain to lots of gain effortlessly.

JB-2 Angry Driver: extremely versatile

BOSS' and JHS Pedals' lovechild actually has no fewer than six different modes. The BOSS or JHS overdrives can be used independently or in a mode that makes it possible to change between them using the built-in pedal switch. The overdrives can also be used in series with the BOSS before the JHS or vice versa. They can also be used together in parallel. There's a 3-colour LED indicator to help you keep track of which overdrive is activated. You can also connect an optional BOSS footswitch for controlling pedal modes.

BD-2 Blues Driver & Angry Charlie

The BOSS BD-2 Blues Overdrive probably needs little introduction. It's been popular ever since it first saw the light of day in 1995. It's not just a favourite with Blues guitarists, however. Thanks to its relatively subtle overdrive, it's also perfect for pushing overdriven tube amps further over the edge. By contrast, the JHS Angry Charlie has a rawer sound with lots of gain. That makes it an excellent choice for shredding through a clean amplifier.
