General

The Palmer Pocket Amp Bass is a practical preamp for bass guitar that offers you all the tools you need. It has a DI out for a wide variety of sounds. It can be set to pre or post so you can send your bass signal out before or after the DI. You can select a clean bass sound, a fine layer of fuzz or a rough overdrive. Use the drive, blend and saturate knobs to adjust your sound to perfection. There are three cab simulations; namely, flat, modern and vintage. The latter is executed by means of a 3-band equalizer with the option to reposition the frequency you want to boost or cut in the middle. Connect external effects via the TRS jack connector.

Als gitarist die af en toe een basgitaar er bij pakt, zocht ik een allround oplossing om een goed basis basgeluid mee te kunnen nemen naar optredens, dat is helemaal gelukt met deze toverdoos. Fijn apparaatje met als extra handigheid om met koptelefoon mee te jammen en te oefenen.

Een aanrader!

Laat je niet misleiden door zijn compactheid, dit is een zwitsers zakmes.

Kan ook als stompbox dienen, maar blinkt naar mijn mening toch uit als preamp en di-box,(Zo gebruik ik hem op dit moment).

Dankzij de semi parametrische mid controls, extra makkelijk om de gewenste klank te sculpteren.

Drie mogelijkheden voor cab simulatie is luxe, en maken ook een mooi, subtiel verschil bij het klankkarakter.

De beknopte, maar toch grondige handleiding toont hoe uitgebreid en veelzijdig dit pedaaltje wel is.

Bass thru, hoofdtelefoonaansluiting en de aux kunnen bijvoorbeeld voor andere dingen ook dienen, alsook de fx insert...

Daarbovenop is de klank zeer goed, en voelt alles ook zeer stevig en betrouwbaar aan.

Werkt ook perfect met effecten, alsook loops voor de input... blijft mooi clean.

Uitstekende prijs kwaliteit, features en klank kunnen zich zeker meten met de duurdere alternatieven!
