General
Palmer's Pocket Amp MK 2 is more than just a preamp and DI box for electric guitarists. It can also be used as an overdrive/distortion pedal or a practice amplifier! As such, it has a jack input for connecting your guitar and a jack output for connecting it to an amplifier. It also has an XLR output, a headphone output and an auxiliary input. That makes it perfect for use in the studio as well as on stage. There's a switch for choosing between American, British and Vintage tube amp sounds and another switch that lets you select heavy, crunch or clean tones. A third switch lets you set different microphone positions, while a fourth one controls the ground lift. There are also knobs that allow you to adjust the gain, volume, treble and bass.

Het geluid zelf is prima, het modelleert drie types gitaarversterker en klinkt oké. Verwacht voor deze prijsklasse niet dat je kan spelen met volume om meer of minder distortion te krijgen op de overstuurde modellen (het klinkt als een vrij simpele impulse modeller).
M'n belangrijkste probleem is dat het pedaal bij mij clipt (digitale vervorming) als ik een wah er voor doe, m'n distortion te veel gain geef, maar ook als ik de volume output te hoog zet van het pedaal zelf. Als DI clipt hij nog sneller. Prima pedaal als je alleen wat wil oefenen (via koptelefoon klinkt het meestal wel prima), maar best wel lastig in de praktijk te integreren als je af en toe snel wat tracks wil opnemen, met pedalen in je setup.

De perfecte oefenversterker om medebewoners of buren niet te irriteren, dit bakje heeft een enorme keuze aan geluidsmogelijkheden en als je een lichte oefenversterker hebt waarvan bij de meeste de O.D. kanalen waardeloos zijn is dit tevens een goed pedaal om dat oefenversterkertje nieuw leven in te blazen.

Vraiment pas mal niveau sonorité directement branché dans ma carte audio. Préférence pour les cleans mais les crunch et heavy s'en sorte quand même assez bien.
Testé en directe sur mon Hot Rod Deluxe ça marcge assez bien aussi sur le canal clean. ca permet d'avoir quelque chose d'assez versatile et peu faire office de 3eme canal.
C'est assez transparent je trouve et les différentes guitares que je possède sont bien respectées (HB, Sigle coil et P90 Tornade MS).
Petit bémol et quand même ennuyeux, le branchement vers l'ampli et vers la carte audio en même temps génère un souffle désagréable. Par contre nickel si on utilise l'un ou l'autre.
Voilà donc pour le prix ça trouvera forcément une utilité

Geweldige pocket amp!! Ik heb mijn pedalen erop aangesloten, koptelefoon en geluidsbox voor youtube-muziek en ik moet zeggen ik ben verrast wat het geluid betreft. Ik speel altijd gitaar mee met mijn favoriete nummers op youtube en het blend mooi samen alsof je meespeelt met de band zonder dat anderen er last van hebben. Mijn VOX buizenversterker gebruik ik nu een stuk minder om geen overlast te bezorgen maar zal deze nog zeker gaan gebruiken. Ik kan deze amp echt aanraden!!

De perfecte oefenversterker voor onderweg. Goed geluid, klein genoeg om mee te nemen, hoofdtelefoon en gitaar inpluggen en spelen maar.

Cet appareil est parfait pour répéter. On branche la guitare, son ordinateur pour une play list ou un tutorial Youtube et son casque écouteur et on peut jouer sans déranger personne. Si on veut en faire profiter ses amis, cet appareil a également une sortie Aux pour une installation Hifi et une sortie jack 6,5 mm pour être connecté à un ampli de guitare. Led verte allumée, on est en by pass, led rouge allumée, l'appareil fonctionne (mettre le potentiomètre du volume sur médian car l'appareil est livré avec volume à zéro).
