General
Since 1991, BOSS' MT-2 Metal Zone has been one of their most popular distortion pedals. Now, there's the BOSS MT-2W from the Waza Craft series that adds even more tonal range and versatility to the original model. This high-gain, 2-step distortion pedal is made in Japan just like the rest of the Waza series. Top-quality components ensure that the pedal is free of any unwanted noise leaving you with nothing but interference-free, pure distortion that's rich and full. In standard mode, the MT-2W delivers distortion with prominent mids and when you connect it to a power amp it reveals its full potential.
MT-2W Metal Zone: groundbreaking high-gain distortion
Just like the original Metal Zone, the MT-2W has a powerful 3-band EQ with a parametric midrange in addition to the controls for level and distortion. The knobs on the stacked EQ potentiometers are used to cut or boost the bass, treble and mids as well as determine the level and the mid-range frequency. Via the S/C switch, you can choose standard or custom mode. Custom mode increases the dynamic range and gives you lower, more rounded mids than standard mode which is perfect for modern, heavier styles of music.
