With the OD-1X, Boss takes its famous overdrive pedal to a new level of expression that will draw unparalleled performances from guitarists with an ear for tone. This new-generation stomp box takes 35 years of innovative pedal design and applies it to the most advanced technology. As such, the OD-1X offers a completely new sound experience that is, above all, typically Boss. The inspiring and exceptionally responsive OD-1X will change the way you feel about overdrive pedals forever.
The OD-1X delivers an overdrive that is unlike any other pedal's. With regards to sound quality, clarity and tonal range, it opens up a whole new world of options. Thanks to Boss's mindblowing MDP (Multi-Dimensional Processing) technology, each single note on your fingerboard sounds entirely flawless - from fat tones during leads to smooth, transparent distortion during chords. By adjusting the pedal's level, low, high and drive knobs, you create a wide range of tones and a complex, refined presence that cuts through the mix, but is silky smooth at the same time.
The sound characteristics and overdrive of the Boss OD-1X follow the dynamics of your performance in a natural way. A world of subtle tonal changes is right there at your fingertips! Add the OD-1X to your guitar setup, and your sound becomes so fat and responsive that you'll quickly forget you're plugged into an overdrive pedal. To match the pedal's brand new sound, Boss has given the OD-1X a visual makeover too, complete with shiny chrome knobs, a chrome control panel and a vintage-style silver button for the battery compartment.
