With the Meris Ottobit X Black Modular 80s Texture Engine Pedal, you’re getting an incredibly versatile modulation effects pedal. This powerhouse combines the character of vintage video games, VHS tapes and digital hardware from the 1980s with modern DSP technology. The result? A wide range of bitcrush, sample rate reduction and glitch effects in stereo, perfect for creative sound design, unique studio recordings and surprising live performances. The Ottobit X offers six unique glitch modes – including Grain Freeze, Stutter and a genuine “Wikki Wikki” vinyl scratch – as well as multiple filters, pitch and modulation algorithms, four preamp types and special VHS reverb and delay. Thanks to its intuitive colour display, 99 memory slots, MIDI connectivity and expression pedal option, this pedal is just as suitable for the stage as it is for the studio. Stereo signals pass through high-quality 24-bit converters, whilst the layout will feel familiar to users of the Meris LVX or MercuryX.
