General
Over 30 years of experience and passion for music have culminated in the Zoom G6 Multi-Effects Processor. As such, it's no surprise that this sleek unit is literally brimming with the best of the best in terms of amp simulations and studio-grade effects, but even creating your own custom sounds has been made amazingly easy thanks to app-based technology and a 4.3" touch-screen colour display. Both the expression/volume pedal fitted on the right and the six footswitches can be engaged to summon your most-loved sounds with barely any effort. In fact, there's enough room for 240 patches, which include 100 carefully-put-together presets. Each patch can be loaded with up to nine effects, so it's safe to say that the sound-shaping potential of the G6 is almost impossible to put into words that would do it full justice.
The G6 Multi-Effects Processor: Looper & Zoom Guitar Lab
Besides a broad range of iconic and modern amplifier emulations, the G6 features 70 pre-loaded IRs and offers room another 100 IRs of your choosing. Not only that, this brilliantly flexible multi-effects processor provides access to Zoom's Guitar Lab: a unique collection of legendary guitar effects and sounds. By default, the built-in looper is able to record up to 45 seconds of your guitar-based creativity, but if that's not enough, then you can expand this up to a maximum of 2 hours by slotting in an SD card. With 68 built-in rhythms to back you, the Zoom G6 is no doubt an inspiring tool for improv-work.
Maximum Connection Potential
Thanks to its humble dimensions and less-than-2kg weight, the G6 can be easily packed up and taken to gigs, rehearsals or the studio, and Zoom have even made sure it's equipped with almost all of the inputs and outputs you could imagine. That means the G6 comes outfitted with stereo outputs with volume controls, a mono effects loop, an AUX input, a headphone output, and a USB port so it can serve as a 2-in/2-out interface in combination with Mac and PC. If you get yourself the optional BTA-1 adapter, it's even possible to connect to the G6 via Bluetooth and use the Guitar Lab app to load artist patches and more.
