It won't be long before the new Gemini MDJ-600 and the Gemini MDJ-900 hit the shelves! These two CD & USB media player tabletops by Gemini are affordable and particularly suitable for DJs who are just starting out.
Fast Learning, Faster Results
Both the Gemini MDJ-600 and the MDJ-900 offer user-friendly interfaces to assist DJs who are still learning the ropes. The idea is that if the interface is very intuitive, DJs won't have to search for the right buttons and controls, which can get in the way of what DJ-ing is all about. These media players offer some remarkable features that include a velocity-sensitive platter with realistic resistance and the ability to toggle between modes like reverse play, vinyl, and stutter cue, for instance. Both allow you to set hot cues and auto loops as well. An LCD colour display gives you real-time feedback and information about your tracks and your playing style.
Made for slipping and scratching
When it comes to external audio sources, the Gemini MDJ-900 allows you to play music via USB while the MDJ-600 offers the possibility to play media via USB as well as CDs. Both devices are equipped with an audio interface so you can connect it to your PC or Mac via USB (MIDI) and use DJ software to control them. They also function in standalone mode, however, which means a DAW is not required! The Gemini MDJ-900 can be linked to multiple tabletops via Ethernet, thus expanding your digital library. Using the SYNC functionality, you can synchronise the BPM between these players. What's more, the MDJ-900's platter is bigger than standard platters and features an LCD screen for visual feedback.
