Jackson Guitars Impress with 2017 Lineup
Fans of hard rock and metal guitars are sure to love the new lineup of models Jackson Guitars has in store for 2017.
Pro Series: stylish speed demons
The first thing you're sure to appreciate about Jackson's Pro series models is their playing comfort. Most of the models in this series feature a neck that has been rubbed by hand with urethane. This, in combination with the compound fretboard radius, makes the neck extremely fast. In terms of appearance, these models are pretty special too thanks to their exceptional finishes. The 'slab top' RR24 in Charcoal Grey or the chic DK7 Rosewood are just two prime examples. Virtually all of the models are equipped Seymour Duncan pickups, which means you're also assured of a great sound.
X and JS Series: great quality at an affordable price
Models from the X and JS series are perfect for beginners or players looking for an affordable Jackson guitar. The X series instruments are dripping with Jackson DNA and offer stunning shapes, powerful humbucker pickups and beautiful finishes. The Telly TY2-7 is a striking new 7-string model with a fixed bridge and a maple fretboard. Models in the JS series have received a number of upgrades too. Custom-voiced humbuckers with ceramic magnets are among the new features and offer a powerful sound. The black hardware gives the guitars a look as good as their sound.
Signature Series: for true fans
A lost sheep has safely found its way back to the Jackson flock, to the joy of many Megadeth fans. Marty Friedman's new MF-1 Signature is a black single-cut model with white bevelling and EMG MF pickups. Greek guitar god Gus G is another famous name to get a new signature model. The Star has a design that is both eye-catching and comfortable. Fans of Periphery's Misha Mansoor will be glad to hear that there are now more affordable versions of his Juggernaut HT6 and HT7 models available.
