Yamaha Present MODX+ Synthesizer Workstations
It's September again...that means the summer holidays are over and we're in for a flood of fresh product releases! Yamaha are happy to kick things off with the MODX+: a lightweight beast of a studio synth.

Following up on the MODX, the MODX+ comes loaded with a handful of welcome upgrades. At the core, it's still a deeply extensive workstation equipped with an AWM2 engine and an 8-operator FM engine, but both engines now have a polyphony of 128. Whether you grab the MODX6+, the MODX7+, or the MODX8+, you're also getting 1.75 gigabytes of space for loading in samples, so the difference between the three models lies mainly in the keyboard. The smallest of the three weighs just 6.6kg and can be easily set up on stage, which is not to say these new MODX+ synths aren't fit for the studio. Featuring countless high-quality sounds, a stunning colour display and masses of tweakable settings, the Yamaha MODX+ might even offer more than some can handle.
