General
JBL's JRX225 is a passive two-way, dual 15-inch full-range speaker - this beast does exactly what its name suggests. The speaker box produces full, dynamic bass with two 15-inch woofers; so much bass in fact that there is no need to add a subwoofer. JBL's quasi three-way system means that the filter settings of this speaker cabinet allow the top woofer to produce the mid-bass frequencies and the bottom woofer the sub-bass tones. Everything above 2 kHz is dealt with by the 1-inch 2414H-C driver, a very reliable tweeter which puts up an amazing performance.
The Sound of the JRX225
This speaker has a balanced tonal range, a maximum power of 500 Watts RMS (2,000W peak) and can handle an immense sound pressure level of up to 133 dB. These specs make the JRX 225 a perfect speaker for parties, DJ setups or bands, for example. For optimal performance, couple this speaker with an amplifier with a power output between 500 and 1,000 Watts at 4 Ohms is recommended.
Housing
The housing of the JBL JRX225 is made with 19mm thick MDF panels, covered by black fabric. These panels are joined with glue and screws to make sure that the speaker can handle short drops, bumps and scrapes. Combined with its low weight of just 42.6 kilos, the JRX225 is perfect for mobile setups. What's more, the housing's resonance is kept as low as possible - even the handles are made completely out of steel to prevent them from vibrating - and the result is a delightfully tight sound for this price range.

Voor het geld heel wat speaker en geluid, op hoog volume klein beetje schel geluid maar was weg te werken door de equalizer.
Een nadeel het gewicht... Beetje heel zwaar
Voorderest heel wat speaker en waar voor je geld!

nu na de volgende set up
laag 2xmrx518 jbl 2x18sound lw1400 in de dapx15b kasten
en dan de jrx225 als toppen
versterker rack
vx1500 vx2500 ad systems ad2200 (audience delight)
ik laat spoedig weten hoe de huidige set up klinkt
met de juiste zorg en de juiste versterkers is de jrx behoorlijk goed te noemen
uiteraard ligt dit ook aan de versterkers waar men vooral niet op moet bezuinigen
en de juiste speaker processor ik raad dbx driverack aan voor de jbl reeks
groetjes een tevreden klant

een baskast is niet persee nodig in een kleinere setting...
nadeel : de hoogte, net te laat om stand alone te gebruiken... je hoge tonen komen niet door, en dat is meteen nadeel 2, de driver is niet erg fraai. Schel en schreeuwerig. Voor muziek vanaf een draaitafel zeg ik : leuk om te beginnen. Live zang of spraak wordt mijns inziens een issue... en omdat je gaat knijpen op de tonen, of meer gaat geven, blaas je ze vrij snel op, dit is mij 2 keer overkomen.
enfin, om te starten, voor een clubhuis / kantine / kleine dj op huiskamer feestjes ed, PRIMA. in een zwaardere omgeving kom je te kort op de geluidsdruk en kwaliteit..
