General

There are now a lot of percussion instruments available, and far from all of them are always just about rhythm. The Sela Ocean Drum is a good example. Yes, you can hit it, at its core it is a kind of frame drum. But the grains on the inside can (with the right hand movements) nicely mimic the sound of the surf, and then it's more of a sound effect. And well, then it's up to everyone's musical imagination to do something with it. Something in an orchestral setting, perhaps, and no doubt it is also very soothing in the context of meditation.
