Devine Condenser-to-PC set: setting up
The Condenser-to-PC set is remarkably easy to use - simply connect your condenser microphone to the Devine MPS 500 phantom power supply using the included 3-metre XLR cable. The MPS 500 will supply the mic with the 48V phantom power it needs to function properly. Via the included cable and adapter plug, your signal runs directly from the Devine MPS 500 to your laptop or computer, or any other suitable device that features a 3.5mm mini jack input. 1st Time I've tried this cable brand so its early days but plugged it in and it works so a good start, seems solid enough for the price but time will tell. For some reason I seem to kill cables at the XLR plug by what looks like excessive cable rotation and I don't mean spinning mike around my head on end of cable but cable always seems to get twisted breaking outer insulation and then a copper core gives up. Could it be because I don't have a mike stand?

Devine MPS 500, is een goede set, alles was vlug aangesloten en werkte prima. Enkel de stekker van de accu word wel warm, soms wel normaal voor die dingen, maar toch. Devine kabels zijn ook goed, maar toch blijft mijn voorkeur naar de pro cabs gaan. Voor microfoon opnamen zijn details in de weergave te belangrijk, toch een aanrader deze set. Als de accu nog warm blijft, koop ik mij nog een set, spaar ik in de winter verwarming uit, dat is goedkoper dan zonnepanelen, greets.
