General

The Dunlop Tortex Standard 0.88mm 12-pack is a set of 12 picks with standard shape. This shape provides a good balance between attack and tone, and speed and control. This also makes the picks versatile. The material used is Tortex, an enormously strong plastic with a clear sound character. The attack is solid and present and because of this material, the picks last a long time. Over time, the picks also mould themselves slightly to your grip, making them increasingly pleasant to play. The thickness of 0.88 millimetres is between medium and heavy, so you don't get a much warmer sound than with a medium pick but you do have something substantial between your fingers.
