General
Have you ever seen the black ring of a bass reflex speaker? The KickPort by Kickport is based on the same simple yet revolutionary innovation, but the principle has been adjusted for your bass drum. The KickPort gives your low-range frequencies an additional boost. It also dampens the resonant head, so there is no need to place additional dampening materials inside the bass drum.
Installation and technology
The KickPort is easy to install. Simply cut a hole of 5 to 5.5 inches in your drumhead and use the KickPort to neatly seal it. The KickPort ensures that additional compression is built up during a kick, resulting in a harder punch and an improved head response. The KickPort can be tuned and used again if you replace your drumhead.

Excellent product. Shame the sticker fell off after about 30 seconds. Oh well, prefer the stealth look.

Met bijgeleverde mal is de boel goed op maat te krijgen en voelt stevig aan. Qua functionaliteit merk ik dat hij een diepere punch heeft gekregen met de kickport!

Akoestisch weinig tot geen verschil helaas... Had hoge verwachtingen. Live bespeeld veel klachten van de geluidsman, vanwege de druk/knal op de mic die ervoor hangt... dussss... geen aanrader!
Vind het wel leuk staan optisch gezien.

Op mijn Sonor Delite bassdrum deed ie helemaal niks. Nu is de prijs laag, dus - ach - een keertje experimenteren kan geen kwaad, maar je krijgt er beslist niet meer laag of power mee. Ook maak je live toch vooral gebruik van de bassdrummicrofoon en de ''knal'' die je op de PA maakt, dus voor wie voeg je de Kick Port eigenlijk toe?

Werkt goed op mijn 20x17 sonor hilite basdrum.
verwacht geen mega verschil,als je basdrum nu niet lekker klinkt gaat deze niet in eens super klinken.
Voordeel is minder demping gebruiken en meer laag waarneembaar
Vereist in het begin pielen met stemmen van met name voorvel,deze heb ik een stuk hoger
gestemd dan voorheen
ik raad aan om beide kanten een verstevigingsring te plaatsen.
Geen nadelen ondervonden,leuk om mee te expirimenteren
