General

The Kickport is an interesting accessory for your bass drum. After cutting or trimming a 5-5.5-inch hole in the skin of your bass drum, you place the Kickport in the resulting hole. Once installed, the Kickport provides a bit of extra compression during the kick. This gives your kick more presence and quite a few extra lows, making it seem as if you are playing a bigger bass drum. With the Kickport, it is also no longer necessary to stuff blankets and shirts into the bass drum to muffle the sound.
