General

The LR Baggs Element Active System also comes in this VTC version, which features a volume control and a tone rotary knob. It has an LF compressor so you can keep your acoustic guitar's low tones under control. When amplified, it offers a natural sound with an accurate, dynamic representation of your steel-string guitar's sound. The 9V battery, which you can keep in the included battery bag, can supply power to the Active Element VTC for up to 1,000 hours.

Wrote the following about LR Baggs Element Active System VTC acoustic guitar pickup set

Ik heb onlangs samen met een andere gitarist, een LR-BAGGS Element Active System VTC, in mijn akoestische Ibanez Westerngitaar gebouwd. Deze heeft overigens van zichzelf al een mooi vol geluid!

Het inbouwen vergt wel precisie, maar met enige logica en technische kennis, is het goed te doen.
Het geluid verrastte mij in positieve zin! Een warm geluid en vooral erg gevoelig voor snaaraanraking bij fingerpicking!
Dat is een wereld van verschil met mijn andere gitaar, waar af fabriek een actief undersaddle element in zit.
Ik speel nu via een Roland AC-60, akoestische gitaarversterker, maar wellicht zal hij nog beter klinken op een versterker met grotere speakers???
