Contrary to the average Telecaster, this one is equipped with a single coil and a humbucker, instead of two single coils. In bridge position there's the Custom Shop Broadcaster single coil, for a hot output an a sparkling bright tone. The neck pickup is a warm-sounding Wide Range Fender humbucker. The 4-way pickup switch allows for plenty of tonal elbow room. In fourth position, the single coil and the humbucker are arranged in series, adding the fat sound to the sparkle for an impressive tone.
Finish and details
A single piece of ash makes up the base of this Telecaster. Ash is a strong type of wood that provides a powerful tone and lengthy sustain. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish, which was the standard of the time, does nothing to detract from the resonance of the body, yet provides a gloss that lasts. The neck is made of maple and features a (vintage) D-profile with a maple fretboard with 21 narrow jumbo frets. A modern feature is the compound fretboard radius, providing optimal playing comfort. Its comfortably curved at the lowest frets and conveniently flat near the body, enabling effortless solos and bends. This Telecaster comes with a luxury case and accessories.
