Thanks to the M-Audio Sputnik, the legendary sound of a tube microphone is now within your reach. This studio condenser microphone provides you with an exceptionally professional, ultra-clean sound with a wide dynamic range. The microphone is equipped with a very thin Mylar diaphragm and a specially selected old-stock 6205M vacuum tube, and can be used to record vocals or instruments.
The durable Sputnik microphone
The rugged M-Audio Sputnik studio microphone is equipped with a dual-layer steel grill and a brass body and back plate. It offers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and is fitted with various controls. Use these to set the pickup pattern to cardioid, figure-eight or omnidirectional, for instance, or use the 10 dB switch or the 80 Hz filter. The M-Audio Sputnik is supplied with an accessory shockmount, bag and case.
