The durable housing of the CV-12 microphone and capsule are made of brass, so that the wine red finish, accentuated with brushed nickel trim and grille, really stand out. Ik heb deze mic een tijdje geleden aangeschaft voor mijn 'home studio', en is tot op heden een prima aankoop gebleken. Ik heb door de jaren heen in verschillende studio's met veel (duurdere) mics gewerkt, en de Avantone staat absoluut z'n mannetje. Deze prijs voor een echte buizenmicrofoon is ontzettend aantrekkelijk, maar vooral ook z'n warme karakter maakt indruk. Het is niet voor niets dat artiesten als Taylor Swift deze mic graag gebruiken. Hij heeft mijn home studio recordings naar een veel hoger niveau getild.
