General
The Pioneer CDJ-2000 nexus is the improved version and successor of the immensely popular CDJ-2000. This professional media player has the layout as well as many of the functions of its predecessor, making it feel instantly familiar to those who have worked with the CDJ-2000. Main attractions include the CDJ-900’s slip mode and the XDJ Aero's Wi-Fi support. The latter allows you to stream your music directly from your computer or laptop, or even from your smartphone or tablet via the Rekordbox app for iOS and Android. An extra button has also been added for direct access to your mobile device. Furthermore, MIDI and HID are supported via USB for seamless integration with DJ software such as Traktor Pro 2.5. The Pioneer CDJ-2000 Nexus makes all your modern DJ dream come true!
Pioneer CDJ-2000 nexus: Beat Sync and Wave Zoom
With the arrival of Wi-Fi on the CDJ-2000nexus, Wireless ProDJ Link has become a reality! It's no longer necessary to connect your equipment using network cables - from now on you'll be able to transfer files wirelessly from a single digital source. Additionally, the new Beat Sync function allows for synchronisation of up to four devices with the Master deck, with just the simple press of a button.
The CDJ2000NXS tabletop media player is equipped with a 6.1-inch full-colour high-resolution LCD display so you can see all of the most relevant information, including mixing tools such as Beat Count and Phase Meter. Above all, the functionality of the browser has been improved, so you can now view tracks as a list or as album artwork. The biggest innovation is the Wave Zoom functionwith the flood-lit needle strip, which allows you to zoom in on waveforms in order to quickly and precisely edit beat grids and cues, and to search for breaks.
Slip Mode, Quantize, Master Tempo and more
Thanks to the integration of Slip Mode, remix functions like looping, scratching and reverse are easier than ever, so you can focus on the creative aspects while the music continues to play in the background. The Quantize function has also been improved to allow you to trigger hot cues and hot loops in sync with the music.
The Pioneer CDJ-2000 Nexus comes with Rekordbox software that analyses your music for you, focusing on elements such as pitch. A practical colour-coded system indicates which tracks would be a good match for a mix. This function works together with Master Tempo, which allows you to alter the speed of the music up to +/-16% without altering the pitch and without any artefacts. Finally, the CDJ-2000 Nexus’s jog wheel has been improved to offer a more solid feel, and it has an improved braking system for a smoother jog adjust.
With table top CD players, you usually get a short RCA – RCA cable, so you can connect it to a mixer. If you are going to use it very intensively, you might want to order a more flexible cable as well, like the Procab CAB800.
