General
The launch of the DJM-750 was only a matter of time. This successor of the immensely popular DJM-700 offers an alternative for DJs who are on a budget, or who simply wish to get good value for their money. The DJM-750 is a logical addition to Pioneer's assortment, the DJM-850 being the next alternative in the top-segment range.
Simplicity of the DJM-750
The DJM-750 has a intentionally simple design, which means certain functions are not included. This reduces production costs and, by using existing technologies, Pioneer have been able to keep the price of this mixer down. Nevertheless, the DJM-750 is a full-fledged DJ mixer with the necessary functions to surprise your audience. Connect the mixer to your CDJ-850 players and you have an ideal basic setup with the same layout, composition and operation as a top-segment DJ setup, but at a much more attractive price.
Finish of the DJM-750-S
The DJM-750-S is a silver-coloured mixer with a neat silver grey top layer. The various black fader and potentiometer controls are nicely visible in the dark, as well as the illuminated buttons. The classic layout of the mixer, which has been used for decades, is retained, allowing you to easily switch between mixers.
New features of the DJM-750 as opposed to other mixers
The DJM-750-S is not just based on its predecessor, the DJM-700: it is a slimmed-down version of the DJM-850 and the DJM-900 Nexus as well. Among other things, it features the same 32-bit DSP as the DJM-900 Nexus and the same high-quality 24-bit four-channel USB audio interface as the DJM-850. The effects section has been improved with the Boost Colour FX function. By pressing the Boost FX button, you can add an additional layer to the Sound Colour FX, allowing you to adjust the parameters for both effects at the same time. The Beat FX effects have been improved (Roll, Robot) and a number of new effects have been added: the Vinyl Brake and the Bass Generator. The familiar wet/dry parameters are present and have been improved. They can be supplemented with the Beat Left/Right controls and the manual Time control, which enable you to easily adjust the speed of an effect so it is in sync with the beat of your track.
USB connection and software
With the DJM-750 you can simply plug and play. This means a practical pop-up window appears as soon as you connect it to your computer or laptop. It allows you to easily route the inputs and outputs, so you can really make the most of your DJ software. Thanks to the user-friendly interface you will be ready to present your first tracks in no time whatsoever. The USB connector is positioned at the top of the mixer (just like that of the DJM-850), which enables you to quickly and effortlessly change laptops in a club. Additionally, the mixer is fully MIDI-assignable, so certain functions can be controlled by your software while you take care of the hardware.
