Pioneer DJM-900 Nexus
The DJM-900 Nexus is a DJ mixer with four inputs, four outputs, a built-in 24-bit/96kHz USB sound card and an extensive effects section. Its 13 Beat FX are synchronised with the BPM of your tracks, and can be freely assigned to the mixer's channels or master. Additionally, each channel has its own Color knob, which allows you to apply some tasteful Color FX to your tracks. The Pioneer DJM-900 Nexus can function as a stand-alone mixer, but is also a great match for your DJ software. Thanks to ProDJ, it can be linked to various players and laptops by means of a LAN cable. Combined with the two XDJ-700 tabletop players that are also part of this set, it makes for an outstanding DJ setup.
XDJ-700: compact but remarkably comprehensive
The XDJ-700 may be Pioneer's most compact tabletop player to date, but that doesn't mean it's inferior to its larger counterparts. In fact, it offers a good deal of the same functionality as Pioneer's flagship, the CDJ-2000 Nexus. Creating automatic loops, setting hot cues, synchronising tracks, quantizing and slip mode; the XDJ-700 makes it all possible. This digital tabletop player comes with a detachable stand, which means it's easy to integrate into even the smallest DJ booths. Mobile DJs will love working with this portable Pioneer player too!
Control via a colour display
Many of this digital player's functions can be controlled using the 7" colour display. It offers three different windows - Browse, Play and Perform - so you'll never lose your overview and you'll always be able to find the exact information you need. To facilitate the player's search function, the display can even double as a QWERTY keyboard. Once Rekordbox has analysed your tracks for you, the XDJ-700's display allows you to zoom in on waveforms, so you can accurately set hot cues and loops. It's also possible to get an on-screen beat countdown of up to 64 bars. Additional features like Phase Meter, Key Analysis Indicator and Active Loop provide you with possibilities you'll never want to do without again.

Ze zijn een stuk kleiner meer desondanks komen ze makkelijk mee met de cdj2000 en 2000 nx.

I do miss some digital features tho (therefore 4 stars and not 5). For example beat jump is a very useful feature but it is not available on this player. I would also prefer to have actual physical buttons for hotkeys. You can still access hotkeys through "performance" tab on the touchscreen, but it's not as convenient as dedicated buttons. The screen is very responsive and quite bright, but i don't think it's bright enough for a sunny day.
It does feel very plasticky but I am happy with my purchase.

The Pioneer XDJ-700 - We Bet You Weren't Expecting This!
Tuesday 13 October 2015Surprise! While everyone was waiting with bated breath for an XDJ-2000, Pioneer pulled a fast one by introducing the new XDJ-700! It's basically a stripped-down version of the XDJ-1000, and Pioneer's answer to the demand for an affordable stand-alone tabletop player that measures up to other, more expensive players thanks to features such as Pro DJ Link and Rekordbox support. The XDJ-700 has a compact housing and comes with a separate stand that elevates it to the same height as a standard CDJ player or a matching DJM mixer.
