UAD heeft nog altijd een monopolie als het om de beste plugins gaat. Helaas hebben moderne Macs geen PCIe meer, dus moest ik overstappen op Thunderbolt. Zowel met PCIe als thunderbolt nooit problemen gehad maar wel altijd veel plezier ervan gehad. Superspul.

Voor deze prijs krijg je heel veel hele goede dingen. Natuurlijk niet de absolute top, maar zeker professioneel. Een cleane solid state preamp, een warme tube preamp (en alles daartussen!) en natuurlijk die heerlijke 1176 compressie. En dat allemaal maarliefst vier keer! Dan heb ik het nog niet eens gehad over de wordclock en de 8ch A/D conversie. Prima unit voor elke home-/project-/commerciële studio! Bovendien heeft het best een hoge wow-factor voor klanten.
Tip: als je compressie toepast op vier kanalen bij het opnemen, kun je bij het afmixen nog eens vier (andere) kanalen compressen. Dan heb je effectief acht 1176 compressors!
