Radial Relay Xo remote AB switcher

The Radial Relay Xo is an AB switcher with a special feature. Nowadays, many musicians are switching to in-ear monitoring. Unlike the familiar floor monitors and side-fill monitors, in-ears do not suffer from feedback and you can count on a pleasant and balanced sound, regardless of where you perform. The only question is: how should the band members communicate with each other? For dynamic microphones, Radial already had the DM1, but for wireless systems there is now the Relay Xo.

Relay Xo: switching from audience to band members

You place the Relay Xo somewhere near your wireless receivers, connecting the XLR input at the front to the output of your wireless microphone receiver. At the rear, the signal splits to two XLR outputs. This way, you can switch between a signal that goes to the PA speakers and one that can only be heard by the sound engineer or your fellow band members. You switch from A to B using either a separately available footswitch or the AB button on the side.

A robust and complete switcher

Of course, a product from Radial Engineering is extremely reliable, which is reflected here in, among other things, the very robust, stage-resistant construction and the absolutely immaculate signal. There is also a ground lift switch, as well as a 6.3 mm link output, to which you can connect a second Relay Xo, for stereo use. Finally, you can connect an optional footswitch to the Relay Xo, which in the case of a 'momentary' variant is only on as long as you hold the pedal down. This type is recommended, by the way, as you can never leave it on by mistake.
