General
With the DD-3, Boss offers a digital delay effect with the quality of a rack effect in a compact pedal. You can choose from three different delay types with a delay time of 12.5 to 800 ms - simply use the Delay Time knob to set the desired value. The DD-3's Hold function infinitely repeats the delay sound, producing interesting results.
Operating the DD-3
The DD-3 has various knobs that allow you to adjust the effect parameters. The Effect Level knob determines the volume level of the delay sound, while the Feedback knob sets the repeat rate. Of course it's also possible to fine-tune the delay time. The pedal's Mode selector offers a choice between S, M, L and Hold. When set to Hold mode, the Delay Time knob determines the length of the repeated sound, ranging from 200 to 800 ms. The Hold effect lasts as long as you keep the pedal pressed down.
