General

The Crumar Vari Speed Tape Echo Simulator is an effects pedal that convincingly replicates the characteristic sound and behaviour of a classic 1970s tape echo. Thanks to a combination of analogue signal processing and physical modelling, the pedal responds just like a real tape echo machine, with the motor speed directly affecting the delay time, tone, bandwidth, noise level and pitch stability. This produces lively echoes ranging from bright and tight to dark, unstable and distinctly vintage. The pedal is suitable for both guitarists and keyboardists.
