Most people have probably heard of *Blade Runner*. This 1982 cult film made an immediate impression – including on the bright minds at Meris. The *Blade Runner* soundtrack made such a strong impression, in fact, that the Meris Mercury7 Reverb is entirely inspired by it. The 1980s were the heyday of reverb, so that’s already a good start. With the Meris Mercury7, you’ll effortlessly enter another sonic dimension – one that’s, thankfully, a little less dangerous than the world of *Blade Runner*.
The foundation of this reverb is formed by the choice between a plate or cathedral reverb. These sound great in their own right, but there’s more to it. You have extensive modulation, pitch and swell options, allowing you to shape the reverb sounds entirely to your taste. You can do this subtly, or go completely over the top. You can also use this pedal with an expression pedal (not included) for real-time sound control. With the Meris Mercury7 Reverb, you can effortlessly evoke any atmosphere, from a small room to a large church, right up to space and beyond.
