Strymon DIG V2 Dual Delay

The DIG V2 has arrived to succeed the original, uber-popular dual-delay effects pedal from Strymon. Based on '80s rack-mount effects, this modern unit in pedal-form has been upgraded with various interesting features. Firstly, Strymon have fitted a Tone Knob that allows you to tweak the feedback filter response for your echo sounds, but the DIG V2 is also fully equipped to support MIDI control and lets you adjust its parameters via your DAW or MIDI controller. The most significant upgrade, however, has to be addition of a JFET input. This completely discrete class A preamp breathes dynamics and immediately intensifies the response of your guitar. What's also new is the built-in ARM processor - this DSP chip is not only able to multi-task but can do more while requiring less power.

The Double Integrated Delay: Two Delays for the Price of One

The core of the DIG V2 is made up by two integrated delay generators that are active at the same time. Here, Delay 1 functions as a master delay while Delay 2 basically shadows the first delay. Don't want the delays to run in sync? No worries, simply turn off the Time Sync function and cancel the subdivision of the two delays. The five rhythmic subdivisions that can be selected are triplet, eighth note, dotted eighth note, dotted quarter note and the golden ratio. In terms of routing, you're given the pick of 'Series', 'Parallel' or 'Ping Pong' mode, while the delay can be further tweaked with double Mix pots and a Repeat control. Lastly, the Strymon DIG V2 Dual Delay sets you up with a Mod control so you can add trails of modulation and colour to the effect.
