According to American brand Strymon, the Volante pedal is the ultimate Magnetic Echo Machine. Packed into its housing are 3 types of vintage delay: magnetic drum echo, tape echo and reel-to-reel studio echo. If that’s not enough, this stereo, multi-head delay pedal even has a looper and vintage spring reverb. Thanks to its analogue signal path and powerful SHARC DSP, you can expect nothing but optimal sound quality without any latency.

Volante: authentic vintage vibe

The Volante captures the much sought after natural saturation and soft clipping associated with magnetic media carriers. You get real-time control over the mechanics, wear, head spacing and low cut. The core of the Volante revolves around four delay playback heads, each with individual feedback, panning and volume controls. This means complex rhythm patterns as well as atmospheric reverb-like sounds are among the range of possibilities.

Presets and connectors

Strymon have equipped the Volante with 8 preset slots so that you can save your favourite settings. If eight is not enough, you can use the MIDI connection to access 300 presets! In addition to the stereo inputs and outputs, there's also an exp connector that allows you to add an expression pedal, a tap pedal, a Strymon MIDI exp cable or the Strymon MultiSwitch Plus.
