General

Mooer's ShimVerb Pro is a pedal that offers both shimmer and reverb effects. For those who are not familiar with it, a shimmer effect is essentially a reverb and pitch shifter combined. This pedal has comprehensive controls for both shimmer and reverb and thanks to two footswitches, the effects can be used independently or together giving you plenty of possibilities. The Shimverb Pro uses 32-bit floating-point DSP chips for optimal quality.

Mooer Shimverb Pro: controls

The ShimVerb Pro offers 5 different types of reverb: room, hall, church, plate and spring. This is also used for the shimmer effect that offers a choice of +3, +4, +5, +7 and +9 half-step modulation and there's also an Octave button that can add an additional octave. Other controls include dry, low cut, hi cut, pre delay, decay and wet as well as a Trail on/off switch.

Presets

Once you've found a great sound, you can save it for later use using the footswitches or the buttons in between them. This state-of-the-art effects pedal has a robust retro-style metal housing that is built to last. Wrote the following about Mooer ShimVerb Pro effects pedal

Ik wilde die gaan gebuiken voor een synth, maar ik kreeg alsmaar een voortdurende hoog frequente biep te horen in welke stand ik die ook zette, terwijl ik dat probleem helemaal niet heb met andere soortgelijke pedalen, dus aan mijn synth ligt het echt niet. Zefs als ik er helemaal niks op de input aansluit dan nog blijft die biep hoorbaar. Pas als ik de reverb knop uit de ingedrukte stand haal, houdt die biep eindelijk op, maar ja, dan is er ook geen reverb. Ik heb erg lang naar de oorzaak gezocht zoals de aarding en voeding en output en kabels, en daardoor de retourtjd misgelopen. Zeer teleurgesteld. Onbruikbaar.

Prachtige reverb met een heel fijn sfeertje aan hat geluid. Heel makkelijk om mee te werken en veel mogenlijkheden. De shimmer functie werkt ook heel mooi op bass. en het is een stevig gebouwd pedaal wat ik heel lang op mijn board ga houden.
