Big fan of reverb? Grab the NUX Verb Core Deluxe and set yourself up with eight different flavours, from classic variants like hall, room, spring and plate to more modern spin-offs like shimmer and damp reverb. You also get mod-verb and tre-verb for tasteful mash-ups with other effects, and NUX have fitted a 3-way switch so you can lock the settings in T.Lock mode or go for true or buffered bypass for long reverb tails or uncoloured sounds at will. The specifics can be dialled in with the Decay, Tweak and Level controls while, for surprisingly cool freeze effects, all you have to do is hold down the footswitch.

De rede van aanschaf was dat ik bij andere goedkopere reveb pedalen last had van ruis en een plop geluid bij het inschakelen, Met dit pedaal is dat probleem opgelost. Ook bevallen de extra functies oa als je de schakelaar in gedrukt houd dat deze bv een extra galm heeft in iedere stand is dat anders. Met de kleine schakelaar kun je kiezen of dat de revb direct stopt bij het uitschakelen of pas stopt als deze uitgezongen is. De middelste stand is om de instelling op teslaan. Ook is er een optie voor de front ingang of de return voor je versterker.

Er komt een mooi geluid uit het NUX Verb Core Deluxe reverb effectpedaal. Ik heb de stereo aansluiting niet geprobeerd, dus daar kan ik niks over melden. Maar mono is het ook al een hele mooie sound. Het pedaal is heel subtiel in te stellen. Dat net de randjes van de tonen wat lekker gaan klinken. Maar ook wanneer er meer effect toegevoegd wordt, blijft het een kwalitatief goed pedaal. De verschillende instellingen ga ik niet allemaal benoemen. De voetschakelaars gaan lekker soepel en in zijn geheel ziet het pedaal er kwalitatief goed uit en voelt ook zo.
