CAD Audio's D82 ribbon microphone ensures warmth and definition thanks to its bidirectional pickup pattern. This 'figure-eight' characteristic captures more background sounds, which is handy when you want to include the acoustics of a room in your recording. The D82 sounds smooth because it prevents unwanted resonance often associated with condenser microphones when recording high frequencies. Because the D82 can handle high-pressure sound levels, it's ideal for percussion as well.
