It's surely impossible to find the perfect all-round ride cymbal, and while personal taste might have a lot to say about it, the 20" Masterwork Resonant Ride actually manages to come pretty close. This ride has evidently been made to add tasteful warmth and masses of stick definition to anyone's kit. The ping of the bell actually feels warm and familiar as it lingers in your ears, and can be applied just as comfortably to harder rock and metal as it can to straight-up pop. In fact, played the right way, this ride is even jazz-worthy.

The Masterwork Resonant Ride 20-inch

This cymbal has been made entirely by hand and according to Turkish tradition. Shaped from B20 bronze alloy and finished in a brilliant, high-gloss, the sustain is long but always seems to drop out at just the right moment - so that there's never too much or too little. This cymbal is also more than capable of creating washes, but if it's played too hard it can get overwhelming fairly quickly in terms of volume.
