General

Part of the Charvel Pro Mod Series, the high-performance five-string San Dimas bass mashes up the traditional with the modern to serve up a solid instrument for the most demanding of bassists. The traditional lies in the familiar body shape, the patented Fender headstock and the classic pickup configuration, while the modern lies in an extensive electronics section that can be flipped from active to passive as needed, and a caramelised maple neck and fretboard complete with compound radius that gradually flattens as it reaches the body, supporting smooth and controlled fret navigation all the way up the neck. Extra reinforcements are provided by a dual-action truss rod that ensures the optimum neck position and increased resistance to temperature and humidity, while stable tuning and quick string changes are assured by a set of locking tuners. Finished with a set of Luminlay side dots, this understated five-string seamlessly wraps up familiar yet ultra-flexible tone in effortless playing comfort and contemporary build quality.
