ESP LTD FB-204 (2015) Frank Bello Signature electric bass guitar

Frank Bello - bass player for the American metal band Anthrax - helped ESP to design several signature bass guitars before. In 2015, several updated versions came out, including the LTD FB-204 (2015). Instead of black, the bridge and three controls are now silver-coloured, contrasting beautifully with the stark black (Black Satin) body. Additionally, this bass guitar still features an active tone boost, so that you can draw the most diverse sounds from this instrument with the volume and balance controls.

FB-204 (2015): materials and pickups

The electric bass guitar from the friendly priced 200 series is fitted with a basswood body for less weight and a sound that pierces through the mix excellently. Also, Bello and ESP opted for a rosewood fretboard, vintage-style tuners and 21 extra jumbo frets. Two single-coil pickups translate the vibration of the strings into an electrical signal. There's a single-coil at the bridge and a split single-coil at the neck - a combination that ensures a wide range of sounds, from pervasive to rounded and punchy.
