General

An ode to the legend that helped define modern pop, the Fazley FVB518SB violin bass puts that unmistakable Beatles-style sound within affordable reach. From the violin body-shaping to the mounted pair of humbuckers, this bass looks every bit like Paul McCartney's iconic weapon of choice, and can be tweaked to fit pop, rock, blues, beat, ska, jazz, and even noise via an extensive control section that sets you up with a volume pot per pickup, a rhythm/solo switch, a bass on/off switch, and a treble on/off switch.

The Fazley FVB518SB: Classic Playability

Just like the original, the Fazley FVB518SB has a shorter scale length of 30.3-inches for a tight and comfortable playing feel, while the modern C-profile, hard maple neck adds a little light attack and bite to the overall double-bass-style sound. The hollow-body has been made using basswood to provide a balanced tonal foundation, while the 22-fret, blackwood fretboard round it all off with a touch of warmth, and the closed machine heads ensure steady tuning.

Fazley FVB518SB Violin Bass (Sunburst)

So pleased I chose this particular Fazley Violin Bass Guitar. Torn between a couple of Hofner copies I was looking for something that simulated my German made Hofner Violin Bass & this Is definitely the one! Brilliantly lightweight, Pick-up output very closely matches the original article. Brilliantly made too. I read one review where the person concerned said he broke a string on initial tuning - These this happen so don’t cry over it just put some quality strings on of your choice (as most factory fitted are never as good as branded ones) then play & enjoy!! Honestly if this bass was twice the price I would have still have been extremely happy! Full marks to Bax Music & thank you for saving me money on such an excellent product! Happy Days! RF.

Fazley FVB518SB Violin Bass (Sunburst)

A cheap alternative to a hofner, but only £60 less than a real hofner ignition. the guitar looks good, but the finish is very cheap, strings sound awful and the pickups are nothing on hoofer. Do right the thing and spend the extra for a hofner. Returned this within 10 minutes of opening it. Shame as with more care and quality it could be a real good cheaper alternative. also the black being all black isn't a good look in my opinion, unlike the hofner's wrap around sunburst

Fazley FVB518SB Violin Bass (Sunburst)

Fazley FVB518SB Violin Bass (Sunburst)

Fazley FVB518SB Violin Bass (Sunburst)

Fazley FVB518SB Violin Bass (Sunburst)
