This 5-string Jazz Bass is from Fender's American Pro series that replaces the American Standard series. It's low B string means that it can really shake the foundations wherever you're playing it. Een top bass, maar wel een Fender. Waarom schrijf ik dit? Ik had een andere uitvoering besteld, maar de leveringsbetrouwbaarheid van Fender is in de regel net als mariniers die naar zeeland komen.....beloven veel, maar komen uiteindelijk niet. In een week werd de levering tot twee maal vertraagd.
Bax wilde met alle plezier de order aanpassen en de volgende dag al was de bass in de Bax vestiging in Rotterdam. Kortom top van Bax!
De bass zelf is een heerlijkheid om op te spelen. De verbeteringen die deze nieuwe pro serie heeft en waar vrij veel van opgegeven wordt is echt niet overdreven. De snaren zijn strak, dus geen waslijn B-snaar, de nieuwe stemmechanieken maken stemmen tot een precisie die ik van mijn andere Fenders niet ken. De nieuwe pick-ups zijn heel precies te definiëren, dat is vooral te merken aan de toon regeling. En die aangepaste hals voelt perfect aan. Wil je een passieve 5-string J-bass is dit echt een instrument om in overweging te nemen.
