The Geddy Lee Jazz Bass: Pulled Out Of The Seventies

The core of the Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass is formed by a solid alder body loaded with a set of Fender American Vintage Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups, while other '70s-style earmarks include a C-profile neck and a maple fretboard lined with twenty medium-sized frets. To round off the build, Fender have fitted their own '70s Vintage-Style Stamped Open-Gear tuners in combination with a Geddy Lee High Mass Bridge, fully firming up both the tonal and tuning stability

I had a hunch about this Geddy Lee bass. A Fender reissue of a 70’s Jazz Bass with Geddy Lee’s name to it, it’s got to be good even at that price. I used to have a 70’s bass exactly like this one but sold it. This bass brings back all the good memories, but the build quality is far far better than the original. Made in Mexico, hence it’s affordable, it's great value for money. It was set up almost perfectly out of the box: it was in tune but tuned to D, to make it easier to play, and two strings were very slightly out of intonation. Otherwise, it’s a great bass and incredible value for money. I love it!

Heel goede bas. Ligt goed in de hand. Super sound. Te Bax Goes getest. Had ze op de website gezien dat ze in voorraad was. Na 10 min. uit stock gehaald en getest. Heb de actie wel iets lager gezet. Kende deze bas in de Japanse versie de Mexicaanse moet zeker niet onder doen voor de Japanse. Goed afgewerkt. Heel vriendelijk verkoper ne goede babbel mee gehad.

Na uitgebreid onderzoek en het testen van vele Fender-bassen bij Bax is deze het geworden! Bas speelt als een trein, heeft een hele fijne hals en klinkt prima.
Ik heb er wel zelf een zwarte slagplaat opgezet, zodat 'ie er nog stoerder uitziet.
Het testen van bassen bij Bax is een verademing. Je hebt alle tijd en je wordt vriendelijk geholpen.

Kortom: zowel over de bas als over Bax dik tevreden.
