If you play classic rock, blues or alternative music, then the Fender Mustang Bass PJ Pau Ferro is perfect. It features a C-profile neck with a 30-inch scale length, a 9.5-inch fretboard radius and a satin-gloss finish. Because it has a slightly shorter neck, the notes are closer together and the string tension is lower. All this means you can play this electric bass guitar more easily and qucikly whether you use your fingers or a plectrum.
Mustang Bass PJ PF: Familiar and Versatile
This Fender bass has a pau ferro fretboard, which is a little darker than rosewood and provides a sharper tone as well. The body and neck are made of ash and maple, respectively. The acoustic tone of this bass is full and powerful, and its versatility is mainly a result of the PJ pickup configuration. The sound from the mid-position Precision pickup and bridge-position Jazz Bass pickup can be adjusted and combined using the 3-way pickup switch. There is one tone and one volume control for both pickups, which makes fine-tuning the Mustang Bass PJ PF a breeze.
