This model's nitrocellulose lacquer and metal hardware have been given an aged look.

Road Worn '60s Jazz Bass: pau ferro

Up until recently, Fender has equipped these basses with a rosewood fretboard but due to environmental concerns this is no longer possible. They've chosen pau ferro as a replacement because it has a similar feel and warm sound although it can vary slightly in colour. The Fender Road Worn '60s Jazz Bass 3-Color Sunburst PF comes complete with a bag so that you can easily take it with you.

Since the beginning of this year, rosewood has been subject to certain regulations introduced by CITES. Fender have taken this as an opportunity to replace rosewood with pau ferro on their new Mexican models.
