Guild and Chris Hillman have developed a signature Chris Hillman bass guitar to celebrate The Byrds' fiftieth anniversary. It's a gorgeous Vintage Sunburst hollow-body bass guitar that you can play all of the legendary band's famous songs with. Fans of this classic band and Starfire bass guitars will find plenty to like about this model. It offers a classic sound and timeless appeal with all the benefits of a modern semi-acoustic bass guitar with a centre block.
Guild Chris Hillman Bass: sound, feel and vibe
The Starfire body is made entirely of maple, and has a set-in 3-piece mahogany and maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. The latter offers a flat 12-inch radius and 21 narrow-jumbo 6105 frets. The Guild Adjustable Bass bridge and Grover Vintage 142 tuners allow for a highly consistent tuning. Its bright acoustic sound is amplified by a solid Bi-Sonic pickup and can be adjusted to suit your preferences with the two volume and tone potentiometers. While it still provides that vintage '60s vibe, this Chris Hillman signature bass guitar offers modern-day playing comfort.
