Advanced, demanding bassists who prefer 5-strings will love the Ibanez Soundgear series, which offers a broad selection of top-quality basses like the SR655 Antique Brown Stained PJ-model. It features an active 3-band EQ, which you can switch on and off, and offers stable amplification of the versatile sound by means of a set of passive Nordstrand pickups. There's a P-style split coil in the middle position, and a J-style single-coil at the bridge. When it comes to tone stability, you can't get much better than this SR's Accu-Cast B305 bridge and a well-constructed SR5 5-piece neck made of jatoba and bubinga.
